been a loooong while since we've ghost hunted

is anyone down to go somewhere new or somewhere they know of some action? i wana see some stuff and do some new things! i would like to venture somewhere thats desheveled and haunted for real! no pranks! no BS! real ghost and spirits!

MY OWN PLACE HAS.....

ITS OWN SPIRIT DWELLING IN IT. WE THINK ITS A LITTLE GIRL. NOT SURE THOUGH! JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE PEOPLE BEFORE US LEFT BECAUSE THERE LITTLE GIRL KEPT SEEING THINGS IN THE HOUSE. AND NOW WE ARE BEING TOUCHED AND SMALL THINGS ARE HAPPENING. WE HAVE HAD OUR WATER TURN ON, COLD SPOTS, SOME WEIRD SIGHTINGS AND SUCH. PLEASE STAY POSTED FOR MORE. BY THE WAY WE REFER TO HER AS "EMILY". AND SINCE SHE SEEMS TO ONLY APPEAR TO THE FEMALES IN THE HOUSE WE ASSUME THAT SHE MUST BE A GIRL. KEEP READING AND ENJOYING!!

what's next?

it's been quite a while since any of us have updated this sucker. i'm not even sure if people actually read this thing! do us a favor and leave a comment or something - just to let us know this is being read!

08.24.07 | turnbull canyon road

not a very eventful night for the crew, unfortunately. we hit up turnbull instead of black star. there were a few people who were "uneasy" about going without "knowing where to go"... so, we skipped it and went to turnbull instead. let's flash back to maybe 15-20 years ago... chris was with a couple of friends, driving through turnbull. out of nowhere, they started hearing knocking on the top of the car. at first they thought it might be a tree or something, just knockin' up against the car, but they were hearing it every 50 feet or so, even when there were no trees around... well, chris got so freaked out, they had to pull over so he could hurl... i guess a cop pulled up, asked what they were doing, and informed them that just up the road was a devil worshipper's lair. needless to say, they left that place in a heartbeat!

so, 15-20 years later, we hit up the same place... it's eerie and dark and windy, no doubt... but, unfortunately, the scariest thing we experienced was a truck that passed us that smelled like rotten flesh. most probably an animal down the hill or dead animal in his truck... that was probably it. nothing too scary. we saw some flashlights and stuff in the distance, going up some hill, then saw a few cars parked... we saw a bunch of kids come out of this "habitat trail" and asked them what they were doing and they said they were looking for an insane asylum. never heard about an asylum, but now we're curious... lol.

i know y'all voted for black star, so... we apologize for not going. we just wanted to make sure we were safe. so, we're gonna do a little more research of the roads and stuff before we head over there... vote on another place though... we won't be going until the 8th though...

I HAVE HEARD MANY THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE. ITS A SCARY PLACE. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THAT AREA BEFORE AND EVEN IN THE DAY IT LOOKS CREEPY. REMINDS ME OF JEEPERS CREEPERS. DEFOREST TRAIL:SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME

ON OUR LAST EXCURSION ALL THE THINGS THAT WERE MENTIONED BY GURO WERE SO TRUE. WHEN I WAS TOUCHED IT WAS WITH SOME PRESSURE AND NOONE WAS ON THAT SIDE OF ME. IT SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME BUT I REMAINED CALM AS PER OUR SECOND RULE...DON'T PANIC AND RUN...OF COURSE OUR FIRST RULE IS THAT WE MUST PRAY BEFORE WE GO ON THE EXCURSION. ANYWAYS , WE ARE HAVING FUN WITH THIS. NOW WE DON'T WANT TO INDULGE EVIL SPIRITS BUT WE WILL GO TO THE PLACES YOU CHOOSE...SO MAKE IT FUN AND SAFE FOR US SO THAT YOU , THE VOTERS, CAN READ OUR UPDATES ON OUR BLOG

08.17.07 | deforest: part 4, la veta railroad tracks

we headed out early and got to deforest park at 8:15pm or so. this time it was me [guro], kim, chris, lani, and william. we got waaaaaay far into the trail this time. we were determined to go all the way to the end but, #1 it's a pretty long freakin trail (probably about a half a mile long - maybe a little less) and #2, we tried looking down the path and it was just insanely scary. give us some time - we'll get to the end of it! don't judge us! lol. we're amateurs! ;) anyways, here's a list of what happened. video will be up soon of our experiences.

• the place where we stopped, we stood huddled together, i [guro] told the spirit, "if you're here touch one or all of us." a few seconds later, chris said that he felt someone touch his arm. [imagine someone taking one finger and running it across your arm - that's what he felt]

• i [guro] started talking trying to provoke (trying to get the spirit to do something, not provoke in a bad way) the spirit. all of a sudden we hear a LOUD sound from the brush. we took it as a sign that we needed to leave.

• on our way out, we stopped near the rope (if you read our previous blog, you can see what i'm talking about). all of a sudden it started moving. it was a little windy though. but, we told it to move in a circle, and it did. we asked it to move in a bigger circle, and it did. then, out of nowhere the rope seemed as if it was coming towards us - like someone was pushing it towards us. chris told the spirit to make a noise in the water if it was there...

• at this time chris, william, and kim both looked to the right and all saw a black figure glide across the field. i looked back at the rope and it was completely still. we decided to head out after that... as we were heading out....

• me and lani heard a splash in the water. just like we had asked them to do previously.

nothing really happened to us when we went to the la veta railroad tracks. it was really eerie though... we drove around, thought we may have found the "moveable dumpster" that was reported to be slammed or what not whenever someone "invaded the spirit's space"... but, we don't know if it was the actual one. we didn't find enough courage this night to get out of the car and walk the tracks. maybe next time!

next excursion, as voted on by the public: black star canyon.

08.14.07 | deforest nature trail: part 3

we listened to the pollers and decided to head back over to deforest park's nature trail. it was so scary the previous night that bri and lani decided that they weren't gonna join the rest of us this time. so tonight it was me [guro], kim, chris, lorraine, caroline, and julie.

we headed over there kinda late this time. we got there around 9:55pm or so. we came prepared this time around. kim and lorraine went out and bought a few things to help us feel a little safer than we did the night before. yup, weapons! lol. kim bought herself a machete and bought a few flashlights for the rest of us. talk about commitment to the "secret society" (as chris likes to call it). ;) we carried a few canes as well. not so much for the "ghosts" we were hunting. but, let's be realistic here... being in north side long beach we had to protect ourselves from the non-ghostly people out there, ya know what i'm sayin?

so we get there. we huddle up together (well, everyone except for julie because she's too cool for the rest of us) and walk through the super eerie wood post opening nice and slow. we check in the same corner to see if our "friend" wanted to come out again, but nope. so we continued on the very scary, very dark, path. we were all determined to go further into the trail. we got about 20 feet in and lorraine and caroline decided that it was too intense for them, so they decided to head back to the "outside". it was dark, there were lots of trees, lots of trash, lots of tagging, and a lot of other weird things what we encountered... to keep the story short, i'll just list the stuff that happened.

• felt a few cold spots (and remember, right now in socal, it's about 75-80 degrees at night)

• we saw a blue rope hanging from one of the trees. it was right above this "hole" for a lack of better words. it's kinda of this empty embankment. don't know if the rope was there as a suicide attempt or not. it was tied up on this huge tree right above the embankment... weird.

• i [guro] felt something or someone touch my arm. it was a really quick brush-up of a finger or something on right at the joint of my elbow on my left arm.

• kim also felt something or someone touch her hand. she was filming pretty much the whole time. she decided to stop filming, and that's when she felt the touch on her hand.

• lorraine heard children laughing and a woman talking amongst the children's voices. there were absolutely no kids around. lorraine heard this when we first stepped foot into the trail.

• julie heard the children too, but later on. we were deeper into the trail when she heard it.

• we thought we saw a few dark figures in the brush, but with the light from the outside (caroline & lorraine), we figured it might just be our shadows.

• we heard noises in the water (what's left of it - it's mostly filled with trash) of the embankment. as if someone took a few steps. kim described it as, "it's like someone just put one foot into the water or something." we heard it twice, about 30 seconds apart from each other.

• as we were leaving, kim thought she heard a scream.

it was a pretty eventful night, but i think we're done with deforest nature trail now. on to a new excursion at a new place.

08.13.07 | la mirada, whittier, long beach

we head out around 8:30. it was dark, but you could tell there was still some sun left in the sky. we hit up creek park in la mirada first.


the park was huge! kim did some research and found that a few kids had been raped and killed at this park and their spirits linger around the park. there have been some reports of people seeing a young boy just wandering around the park. the park was pretty well lighted, but there was this one spot that we got drawn to twice. it was a darker area, pretty drab, and just a few trees kinda in the background. kim was videotaping while chris was talking, trying to get the boy to show us a sign that he was here. all of a sudden, kim freaked out because she saw a weird sort of "orb" in her camera just flash across the screen. we replayed the tape and all saw the same thing. after that encounter we explored the park a little more. we decided to head out because we felt like there was nothing left to do there. so, we walked back up to where chris' truck was and as we were coming up, a leaf fell from one of the trees or bushes. kinda freaked us out 'cuz we were already on edge. so, we kinda stopped and went to that area. then guro said "if you're here, drop another leaf." and immediately after, a leaf fell. being the "amateurs" that we are, we ran! lol. we hopped in the car, and peeled outta there!

the second place we hit up was a place in whitter. kim did some research and found a haunted place in whitter on workman mill road. we didn't think anything of it. as i was reading the directions, chris and i were joking about how this place might be somewhere near rose hills, which is a huge cemetery (for those that don't know). so, we're following the mapquest directions that kim printed out, and sure enough, we ended at 3888 workman mill road - the address of rose hills cemetery.


unfortunately, the place was closed. i think we were all thankful for that... lol.

the last place we hit up was probably the most eventful. we hit up de forest park in long beach. chris and i had gone to this place the previous saturday and heard some pretty weird stuff that night. we couldn't figure out if it was children laughing or just an animal making noise. so, we decided to go back to try and walk the trail. see, the first time we went we thought the trail was somewhere else... but, when we brought the rest of the team, we realized where the trail really was. to our left. it was dark, enclosed by big scary trees, with just a small opening made out of logs with a small sign that said "de forest nature trail". it was freaky. we were all pretty scared already and we were 30 feet away. so, we decided to brave up. we talked ourselves into at least going to the opening of the trail. we got to the opening and i [guro] already got butterflies in my stomach and felt my heart beating super hard. there was a red light that bri spotted that freaked out chris and made him run which made the rest of us run too! haha. we took a couple of deep breaths and made our way back to the opening. kim and i got the cojones to actually walk "inside". we walked in about 6 feet and stopped. the rest of the crew was behind us (still on the outside). all of a sudden, kim starts freakin out and starts whispering, "guro, do you see that?" apprarently, she saw a white figure in the distance. it was moving and leaned over a little bit (imagine someone peeking from behind a tree...). it stopped right there. as if it spotted us too. all of a sudden, it started moving toward us and we bolted! lol. now, when kim whispered that in my [guro] ear, the rest of the team couldn't hear her... but, from the outisde, they all saw the same thing. the same exact thing. oh yeah, can't forget about the cold spots. chris pointed it out when we first got there. trip out!
